The next 10 days we spent all the time we could together, before I had to return to BYU-Hawaii. I think that by the time we said "see you later" I knew I would be marrying this guy sometime soon. It just took me a little while to accept the fact. We talked every day on the phone and pretty soon he started talking about coming to visit me...

The Beginning

8-11-05
So I thought I'd start when "Nate and Millie" began. Nathan took this picture with his cell phone the day we met. My good friend and Nathan's roommate, Chance had gathered up some friends to take a cabin retreat for the weekend. We loaded up the truck and Nathan jumped in and sat right next to me. I thought he was a pretty good looking boy, so I made a little conversation, but he was busy talking on his phone, finalizing the purchase of his motorcycle, reading his ensign (that raised my eyebrows), and napping. I remember that when we did get some discussions going in the car, everyone gave him a hard time about being a player, but he defended himself saying that he just has a lot of friends that are girls!
We stopped at Bashas in Payson to get some groceries, and we all split up to get what we needed. As I walked down the isle, I spotted my friend at the other end and started a little skip/prance toward her. Nathan happened to be standing there also, and held out his arms. I thought, "What the heck!" and jumped! He caught me, of course, but I imediately felt pretty sheepish. After that, I had my eye on him. We conveniently ended up sitting together on the couch for the movie, and neither of us really know what happened, but we ended up cuddling and talking until long after the movie was over. Nathan even tried to kiss me that night, but I saved that for another night, another posting...
